  • Are the things you make eco-friendly?

    I am very mindful of my impact on the earth and many of my pieces are inspired by nature, so I make sure to be very conscious of what materials I am using when creating. 

    Most of the fiber I use is recycled / thrifted and has been diverted from the waste stream, so you can feel better about what you’re wearing / buying and I can feel better about what I’m making. Being kind to the earth is top priority for me when making anything.

  • How should I care for / wash my items?

    I use a mix of different fibres, so washing and care instructions vary from one piece to another.

    Instructions can be found in each listing and a care info tag will be included when your item ships to you.

  • When will my order ship?

    This is a one-woman show! Its just me making everything and packaging and shipping out orders. Please allow approximately 3-7 business days processing time for most items (custom orders and made-to-order items may take longer to ship and will have processing times displayed within their listing).

    Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email to let you know your order is on its way to you!

    If I am experiencing a rare delay in shipping or I am away, I do my best to share a notification on my website and / or Instagram page to keep you updated.

  • How long does shipping take?

    Shipping times vary dependant on your location. I am shipping out of Canada through my local postal service. Most items will arrive within 5-14 business days of being shipped out if you are in Canada or the USA. 

    I cannot accurately provide estimates for international shipping but I have been shipping worldwide for years and have almost never had packages greatly delayed.

  • Is your shipping eco-friendly?

    Almost all of my packaging is recycled. I save old boxes and packing paper and if I am purchasing new items I purchase post-consumer recycled content. 

    I limit plastic usage to the very minimum (only using it where it is necessary to protect your orders from water damage - in almost all of my packaging it isn’t used at all) and the plastic that I do use is recycled plastic to ensure I am not the cause of any new plastic entering into the environment. 

    I try my best to use only recycled or and / or biodegradable packaging.

  • Can you send me my tracking number?

    Shipping tracked packages from Canada is typically very expensive. However, due to the one-of-a-kind nature of my items, I try to get tracking on any order that exceeds $100 (and sometimes orders below that price depending on the tracking cost).

    Not all orders will having tracking available. More information about shipping options can be found on your order checkout page. Your order will always include tracking if you paid for a shipping option that includes tracking at checkout.

  • Do you ship to my country?

    As of right now I ship worldwide, so yes I do!

  • Will there be customs fees?

    Depending on where you are shipping to, you may be required to pay fees/ charges / applicable taxes on products ordered from places outside of your country.

    This is not something I can predict or pre-pay for you. This is the responsibility of the customer to both plan for and pay.

    I am not responsible for any delays cause by customs.

    Shipping costs paid at checkout are separate and do not cover said fees.

  • My item needs a repair, can you take care of it?

    As with all well-loved items, sometimes wear and tear happens.

    I am happy to discuss repairing any items you’ve purchased from me.

    Repairs are accepted and priced on a case by case basis. Please send images of the damage to dirtwoven@gmail.com to request a repair.

  • What about returns, changes to my order, refunds or cancellations?

    Orders cannot be cancelled or altered once placed. Please review your order before purchasing. Orders are final sale. No refunds or returns are offered.

    In the very rare event of items lost or damaged during shipping, I am not liable as is out of my control once I have shipped the items. In this case, I recommend you contact your local postage provider.
