About Dirt Woven
Dirt Woven offers an array of fiber creations including wearable fashion items and other soft goods. It is run solely by me, Chelsea Skye, in my little home studio in AB Canada.
I’m also the visual artist and designer behind Lunarlilt, and I found that I was being contacted repeatedly by unethical brands who were asking to collaborate. I turned down these requests because it doesn’t feel right contributing to the problematic industry of fast fashion and other mass production. I’d rather create in my own way and in a manner that aligns with my ethics and artistic vision.
This is why Dirt Woven was born, out of a desire to share my creations directly so that I can ensure I’m doing so in a way that’s respectful to the environment as well as my own creativity.
My aim with this space is to share my passion for creating with fiber and textiles, interwoven with my love for the Earth.
My personal aesthetic is largely based on comfort and nature-inspired pieces that I’ve thrifted or made for myself. As an extension of my own personal creations, I want to be able to share what I make with you and offer things that you can feel good about owning/wearing.
Every piece is made by hand using only eco-friendly or upcycled materials, and in everything I make I weave in my love for the earth, the dirt and the beings on it.
